Lego NES Releasing August 1

Nintendo and Lego are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the NES release (October 1985) with a special Lego set! The Lego Nintendo Entertainment System is an authentic reproduction of the classic console, controller, and Super Mario Bros. Game Pak. It also has you build a small CRT TV that comes complete with a crank so you can move Mario through the stage!

This special set doesn’t come cheap though, as it will set you back $229. Still, it’s a pretty cool talking piece and I’m sure collectors around the world are chomping at the bit to get one. It will release on August 1, 2020 via Lego’s official site. As of this writing preorders are not available, which means it could be somewhat difficult to snag one on launch day.
